I spent a lot of time brainstorming, answering emails, and fixing up my listings this week. While time consuming, none of these things make for great pictures unfortunately. (Unless me in my pajamas, coffee in hand, is an exciting picture.)
My favorite picture of the week was this little detail shot of the invitation I shared last week, which gives an up-close view of the paper grain and deckled edge. Said edge, by the way, took quite a few tries to get the effect I wanted. The method that worked best for me was to simply score each edge and then slowly tear away the excess.
As I shared late last week, I've been preparing for The Maker's Fest in Manahawkin, NJ which is coming up on September 17th. I'll be adding a few new items that day to my shop, including customizable wood signs that I'll paint at the event. This one was a quick prototype, so keep your eyes opened for a few more in the upcoming weeks.
The last doodle I shared was made with Tombow Dual Brush pen (on the fine tip side) and quickly colored with watercolor paints. I'll be turning this one into an art print for the shop soon.
So that's my weekly round-up. If you have any questions about anything I've shared, leave a comment here (or in Instagram) or shoot me an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have a wonderful week!
